Golfing in Greece

Tee off with a breathtaking sea view at Costa Navarino's legendary-designed golf courses.

For avid golf players, being able to tee off while on a summer holiday is as important as a hotel boasting a swimming pool and offering cool cocktails at sunset. It is non-negotiable. While many may consider Greece as a country only serving up beach getaway dreams and not necessarily a destination to enjoy golfing, Costa Navarino has changed that perception with its pristine golf courses, gifting golfers the luxury of not giving up their favourite pastime when holidaying.

Working with former US Masters Champion and Ryder Cup Captain Bernhard Langer, Costa Navarino, which was nominated for the 2017 Prix Villégiature Grand Prix for Best Resort in Europe, features the Dunes Course, Greece's first signature-designed golf course. The 18-hole course includes a full-size driving range and a short-game practice area, a clubhouse as well as a members lounge. The resort also boasts a second 18-hole course that was designed in collaboration with Robert Trent Jones Jr, the renowned golf course architect. The course winds through rolling hills and olive groves, and offers breathtaking sea views before leading to the clubhouse, which overlooks the Bay of Navarino.

As well as offering a breathtaking getaway for avid golf players, Costa Navarino also ticks all the boxes for an ideal Mediterranean holiday. Sprawled over 1000 hectares, the resort, which is nestled in the Messinia region, features over 130 infinity pools, beachfront restaurants, bars, and even an open-air theatre. The resort also includes an award-winning spa that offers treatments respecting ancient Greek practices that will massage all the stress away.
