Irving Penn had an eye for fashion, and now the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris is celebrating the American photographer with a wonderful exhibition highlighting his career in fashion photography.

He captured the world of fashion through black and white imagery that still inspire today, and now celebrating the talented Irving Penn, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie is bringing together the works of the photographer for the Penn & Fashion exhibition, showing from September 30 to January 17. Instantly recognisable, his images captured a moment in time while still remaining timeless in their beauty. Highlighting his iconic photographs and his collaboration with Vogue magazine that spanned over 60 years, the exhibition is a must-see while in the fashion capital for anyone who loves photography and fashion, as the displayed images take you on a time-travelling experience with photographs taking you back to the 40s, 50s and 60s.


Friendly tip: If you're on a budget, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie offers free entry every Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm.
