So if you are looking for a fun thing to do on the weekend or during the summer holidays with the children, then this may be the sweetest, and healthiest, idea. Picking your own fruit and enjoying it fresh is the perfect excuse to make your way to the Goulburn Valley, Yarra Valley or Sunraysia region to sample the different cherry varieties, which include Sweetheart, Lapins and Sweet Georgia.
