Melbourne is celebrating the humble mushroom with the Mushroom Festival taking over Queen Victoria Market on the weekend of the 14th and 15th of October. The free event will bring together a marketplace showcasing local producers and growers, cooking demonstrations and free entertainment and music. The best highlight of the first ever Mushroom Festival though is the variety of food trucks and food vendors serving delicious dishes made with the star of the show, the mushroom, an appetising attraction for all foodies, whether you're a local Melburnian or a visitor to the city.
