Dior turns peasant dress to high fashion with its Cruise 2021 collection.

The house of Dior was transported to Puglia for the ready-to-wear Cruise 2021 collection with the house's creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri drawing inspiration from the Italian southern region in creating the collection. A take on the region's traditional dress sees peasant dresses with layers of lace, a reinterpretation of the house's iconic Bar jacket, embroidered skirts and floral prints reflecting the farmland landscape all come together for a chic farm hand style complete with head scarves. The collection is brought together with leather corset belts creating an hourglass figure, contrasting against the delicate fabrics of the skirts and dresses.
