Barbour x ALEXACHUNG

Alexa Chung has injected a little bit of city sleekness to Barbour's country style.

British luxury brand Barbour has just released a capsule collection in collaboration with ALEXACHUNG, the eponymous fashion brand by British designer Alexa Chung. The collaboration sees 11 pieces draw inspiration from classic models from the Barbour archives and given new life with the ALEXACHUNG style. While Barbour is known for outdoor, country-style fashions, ALEXACHUNG is more urban with city chic pieces, together the collection sees versatile pieces that are easily worn in an urban jungle and then taken to a weekend away in the countryside. Inspired by the classic Barbour Liddesdale jacket, the Martha quilted jacket is a kimono-style jacket that will wrap around to keep you warm, while the Blyth waterproof jacket draws inspiration from the 1930's Beacon Thornproof jacket, keeping you dry in the city and on a country hike. Another classic piece given a new life is the Floyd jacket, inspired by the Spey fishing jacket that was originally launched in 1980, the jacket is made with Barbour's waxed cotton and features exposed zips and lined with Barbour's classic tartan, matching beautifully with denim overalls as pictured.
