A friendly culinary takeover is on the menu this Monday the 10th of October at Sydney restaurant Aalia. Melbourne chef Tom Sarafian will be serving his signature dishes, including the ever-popular Sarafian hummus, during the one-night-only event, bringing his culinary creativity inspired by his Lebanese Armenian Australian heritage to Aalia's Middle Eastern kitchen. The four-course sharing-style dinner will be a barbecue feast with barbecued lamb cutlets served with harissa, spanner crab and king prawn only some of the delicacies served. The restaurant will be continuing its friendly chef takeover dinners in November as well with Brisbane chef Adam Wolfers of Gerard's Bistro scheduled to show off his culinary talent with a menu that will include Middle Eastern, Hungarian and Australian influences. Taking over the Aalia kitchen on the 14th of November, Wolfers will be making broccoli tabouli, kibbeh nayyeh and his famous carrot molasses golden gaytime dessert.
