A Coffee Date with Axil

To refuel after a day out shopping in Melbourne's CBD, head to Axil Coffee for a latte and café-style dishes.

Axil Coffee in Melbourne Central has officially become one of our favourite stopovers for a quick coffee and lunch to refuel as we make our way through our day of shopping. The casual eatery makes great coffee and serves a delicious café-style menu with our go-to being the saganaki focaccia with golden fries. Other great options include a hearty mixed grain salad with avocado, broccolini and roasted cashew butter, and the salmon fritters served with verde yoghurt and cassava crackers. The cafe is also a great spot for brunch where you can start your lazy weekend with buttermilk waffles or the house's chocolate bread served with caramelised banana, candied popcorn and whipped butter. After you indulge in a delicious meal you can walk it off in the sunshine as you stroll through the city and its many laneways perusing its quaint boutiques.
