France's traditional Galette des Rois is getting a modern makeover. Plush Paris hotel Le Royal Monceau is turning the classic frangipane-filled puff pastry cake into a chocolate affair with the help of popular Parisian bakery, The French Bastards. Quentin Lechat, the hotel's pastry chef has partnered with the bakery to bring chocoholics a mouthwatering creation filled with creamy hazelnut chocolate cream. The croissant-muffin hybrid with a crunchy chocolate pastry exterior will be available at the hotel and the bakery's three branches from the 8th of January for the perfect brunch treat in celebration of this year's epiphany.
